18 tips to keep your wig unbeweaveable

Most important tip!

1. Be careful!

The Closure/Frontal are ventilated by hand in India and therefor the most sensitive part of the wig. Make sure your braids are as flat as possible before putting on the wig.

How to put on the wig:

Keep your head slightly bended and hold both sides of the wig. Slide the wig on (from front to back). Don’t pull the closure/frontal to correct the wig, since this can tear the closure/frontal.

2. Wigcap tip

There is an adjustable elastic band attached at the inside of the wigcap to secure your wig. The wigcap also has two small adjustable straps and two wig combs in the nape area.

3. Closure/Frontal customization tip

The closure/frontal has already been customized but herewith some tips in case you prefer to customize more. Customizing the hairline is important to achieve a natural look. We advise to place the wig on a mannequin while plucking the hairline. We recommend thinning or small scissors to create baby hairs. Use a Lace tint and concealer to complete the natural scalp look. We have Lace tint available on our website.

4. Secure the wig tip

Use Got2Be Glued and Freeze spray or Bold Hold to secure your wig, for the best endresult. When wearing your wig glue-less we advise wearing a Wig grip for extra support.

5. Nighttime tip

We recommend placing the wig on a wig standard or foam head while not in use to keep the wig in shape. These items can be purchased online or at the Beauty Supply Store.

6. Brush tip

Use a wide toothed comb or brush to brush Indian Straight and Wavy textures. Only comb Indian Curly when damp/wet (preferably saturated with Conditioner). Use a wide toothed comb or a brush suitable for Curly hair to prevent frizziness and excessive shedding.

7. Wash tip

Wash the wig once a week or when necessary and always gently. Try to limit using shampoo since this will strip
the weave from oil, dirt but also all moisture. Co-washing with conditioner will clean the weave as well without stripping all the moisture. Do not brush the wig when saturated with shampoo.
Tip: Only wash the closure or frontal if the rest of the wig is still clean. Please click here for a detailed video with wash instructions.

8. Wash tip

Squeeze the excess water from the wig with your hands after washing. Do not use a towel to prevent rubbing the cuticles in the opposite direction due to the rough fabric. Always air-dry your wig

9. Conditioner tip

Always use a conditioner to soften the weave, since shampoo only tends to dry out the weave. Preferably a conditioner without sulfates since this ingredient dries out the hair.

10. Sedal tip

Always use a Leave-In cream for Raw Indian Curly. Sedal is highly recommended to achieve moisturized and defined Curls. Sedal is thoroughly tested by us and can be purchased on our website. Always use Sedal on wet/damp hair but never on dry hair. Sedal can also be used on Raw Indian Wavy.

11. Air-dry tip

It is recommended to air dry the wigs after washing. You can hang the wig using the elastic band that is attached on the inside.

12. Swim tip

Always use a heat-protectant when using heat. Please keep in mind that using excessive (high) heat can shorten the lifespan of the weave.
Tip: Blow dry or use a heated styling brush first on Raw Indian Straight and Wavy for a sleeker look. Try Perm or Flexi Rods for heatless curling results.

13. Serum tip

Use Serum as a finishing touch after styling. The serum will ensure shiny and soft hair. Only use a few drops to prevent greasiness.

14. Flawless curls tip

The hair is Raw it is therefore recommended to use hairspray for extra hold. Without hairspray the curl will fade faster. Click here for a tutorial.

15. Swimming tip

Always make sure to wear a ponytail or a braid while swimming to prevent the hair from tangling.

16. Bleaching

Please note that Bleaching Raw Indian Curly can make the curls looser. Hair extensions that are chemically treated are no longer raw. Be unbeweaveable is not liable for damage to hair extensions that have been caused due to any form of chemical treatment.

17. Knots tip

Bleaching the closure/frontal makes the knots looser. To preserve the longevity of the closure/ frontal and to prevent shedding as much as possible since the lace is very fragile, it is recommended to spray a knot adhesive on the inside of the closure/ frontal. The yellow Got2B Freeze spray can be used as well.
